Chapter 273: Frontline Battlefield II
Chapter 273: Frontline Battlefield II
As for the Remnant World, attempting to cross countless Seventh-Order World Shards to reach those distant Third-Level Civilizations and Middle Thousand Worlds was nothing more than an impossible dream.
Noah, however, wasn’t particularly concerned about what those Third-Level Civilizations and Middle Thousand Worlds intended to do.
Instead, he felt a growing sense of urgency.
The Remnant World was the first Medium-Calamity World he had encountered.
If his strength continued to grow, Noah intended to make it the first Medium Calamity he personally destroyed.
If those Third-Level Civilizations or Middle Thousand Worlds dealt with it first, he would have no choice but to search for another target.
After thinking it over carefully, Noah gradually calmed down.
If those worlds truly possessed the capability to destroy the Remnant World, they would have likely done so already.
The situation for Extraordinary Worlds might be different, but for Awakened Worlds, destroying a Calamity World would grant an enormous amount of Merit and Civilization Contribution.
Noah refused to believe that those Third-Level Civilizations would not be tempted by such rewards.
Since the Remnant World still existed, there could only be one explanation.
They had the intention, but not the ability.
Third-Level Civilizations had indeed unlocked Seventh-Order and Eighth-Order Dungeons, but unlocking them did not mean they could immediately clear them and produce Eighth-Order or Ninth-Order experts.
The higher one’s rank, the more difficult advancement became.
Take the Great Wilderness Civilization as an example.
As a Level 4 Civilization, it had already unlocked Ninth-Order and Tenth-Order Dungeons. Theoretically, such a civilization should have no shortage of Legendary Items and might even possess Mythical-Grade treasures.
Yet even Valdrik, the Child of Civilization, had been unable to casually produce a single Legendary Item.
Extraordinary Worlds faced an even greater challenge.
The cultivation speed of Extraordinary beings was far slower than the growth rate of Awakeners.
A determined look flashed through Noah’s eyes.
"Then I’ll be the one to destroy the Remnant World."
Neither Sylvia nor Freya had the slightest idea that Noah harbored such an ambitious goal.
If they knew what he was thinking, they would probably be too shocked to say a word.
As they continued talking, none of them slowed their pace.
Before long, they arrived at the front-line battlefield.
A colossal city stretched across the land below them.
"Two seniors, I’ll head into battle first."
Freya bid farewell to the two before transforming into a streak of light and flying toward the city.
"That’s Royal Demon City, one of the three major front-line strongholds of the Demon Subduing Alliance."
Sylvia gestured toward the massive city below as she continued leading Noah through the sky.
"It serves as our primary defense against the Gray Demon Clan and the Mountain Ridge Giant Beasts."
Dozens of figures radiating terrifying auras stood above Royal Demon City.
Every one of them was a Sixth-Order expert.
"Elder Sylvia, you’re here."
Upon seeing Sylvia, the Sixth-Order experts greeted her one after another.
"And this is...?"
Many of them turned their attention toward Noah.
Sylvia quickly explained Noah’s background.
When they learned that Noah had entered the Remnant World alone and had recently escaped while under the attention of the Disaster Will, the Sixth-Order experts were visibly impressed. Their attitudes toward him immediately became warm and respectful.
Not a single one of them questioned his identity or voiced concerns about trusting a stranger.
The reason was simple.
Noah was an Awakener.
Awakened Worlds and the Remnant World were mortal enemies. An Awakener betraying their world and joining the Abyss was virtually unheard of.
In a place as dangerous as the Remnant World, the more powerful allies they had, the better.
Only a fool would drive away someone capable of strengthening their side.
After exchanging a few pleasantries, Noah shifted his focus to the battlefield below.
Across an area spanning tens of thousands of kilometers, countless experts from various races were engaged in a brutal struggle against endless hordes of Demonized Monsters.
The weakest individuals permitted to enter the Remnant World were Third-Order experts. Awakeners and Extraordinary beings below that level simply lacked the qualifications to survive here.
Demonized Monsters, however, were different.
Their numbers were virtually limitless.
Most were merely Tier 2 cannon fodder, while Third-Order Demonized Monsters occupied only a slightly higher position in the hierarchy.
On a battlefield of this scale, the smallest Demonized Monster unit was a legion numbering over one million.
Alongside vast numbers of Tier 2 creatures, there were countless Third-Order and Fourth-Order monsters, as well as a significant number of Fifth-Order experts.
Whenever a Demonized Monster legion launched an assault, the Demon Subduing Alliance would immediately dispatch corresponding forces to intercept and engage them before they could threaten Royal Demon City.
These teams, organized by Civilization and world, were far fewer in number than the Demonized Monsters. However, the weakest among them were all Third Order, and their combat power was no weaker than that of the Demonized Monster legions.
Noah watched as Freya and her Blue Flame Civilization clansmen joined forces to form a team of seven hundred and charged toward a nearby Demonized Monster legion.
They did not even spare a glance for the Tier 2 and Third Demonized Monsters serving as cannon fodder, directly targeting the Third Order, Fourth Order, and Fifth Order Demonized Monsters within the legion.
Fifth Order experts fought Fifth Order experts, Fourth Order experts fought Fourth Order experts, and Third Order fought Third Order experts.
A large number of Tier 2 and Tier 3 Demonized Monsters died in the aftermath of their battles, but they were not entirely useless. Even weak attacks were still attacks, especially those from the Tier 2 Demonized Monsters. In large enough numbers, they still posed a slight threat to Third Order experts, and at the very least, they could drain some of their strength.
However, The Blue Flame Civilization was a powerful civilization ranked above 8,000 on the Civilization Pillar, considered strong even among First Level Civilization, and the Awakkeners it sent to the Remnant World were all elites.
