Chapter 451 - 413: Are You Trying to Rebel?
Chapter 451 - 413: Are You Trying to Rebel?
Thanks to Zane Lockwood’s strong push, The Morgan Group’s new instrument made its way into The Martial Alliance branches in all major cities.
Soon after, the Veridian Martial Alliance’s official website released a statement validating the results from the new testing instrument.
This caused the number of Martial Cultivators in Veridia to increase by several hundred in just half a day.
This also drew the attention of the three presidents of The International Martial Alliance.
Caleb Winslow stormed over to find Kael Miles. Shoving the door open, he saw Kael and Merck Gold drinking tea.
"Mr. Winslow, is something the matter?" Kael Miles asked casually, holding his teacup.
Caleb Winslow’s expression wavered, and his heart clenched. In a grave voice, he said, "Kael Miles, that grand-disciple of yours has openly violated the rules of the Martial World."
Kael Miles raised an eyebrow, completely unperturbed. "And what might you be referring to, Mr. Winslow?"
"The rules of the Martial World forbid revealing any information about Martial Cultivators to the outside world."
Kael Miles glanced at Merck Gold opposite him and asked with feigned surprise, "Has she? I don’t believe so."
"Then how do you explain the Body Refining Techniques and the new testing instrument?"
Kael Miles took a sip of tea and said nonchalantly, "The Cultivation Technique was discovered within Veridia’s borders. As a major member state of The Martial Alliance, Veridia has priority rights in handling it. And as Veridia’s Guardian, it’s perfectly reasonable for Dawn Miles to promote the technique within the country. As for the new testing instrument, it was designed to complement the Body Refining Techniques and is intended for Martial Cultivators in Veridia. This is a good thing! I fail to see why you’re so upset, Mr. Winslow."
"You..."
Caleb Winslow was at a loss for words. Aurora Sinclair had found a loophole in the Martial World’s rules when she promoted the technique.
She hadn’t linked the technique to the Martial World, and even now, the term "Martial Cultivator" hadn’t appeared anywhere on the Veridian internet.
These new practitioners only knew that they could slowly become martial masters through the Body Refining Techniques; they had no idea what becoming a martial master truly meant.
Therefore, the rules of the Martial World hadn’t technically been broken.
As for the "attribute" readings on the new testing instrument, practitioners in the outside world had no idea they were a display of the Power of Heaven and Earth.
And those who did find out had already become martial masters, thus turning into Martial Cultivators.
It was a perfectly sealed loop with no discernible flaws.
After stewing for a moment, Caleb Winslow finally managed, "The Holy Mountain decrees that only those at the Great Martial King Realm may cultivate techniques involving the Power of Heaven and Earth."
"Is there such a rule? How is it that I’ve never heard of it? Is this some new regulation? I don’t recall Lord Easton ever passing such a rule down to me. Gold, have you heard of it?"
Kael Miles turned to Merck Gold, his face a mask of astonishment.
Merck Gold shook his head. "I’ve never heard of such a thing. Perhaps you’re mistaken, Mr. Winslow. The Maker only decreed that those at the Great Martial King Realm could enter The Holy Mountain."
"You two..."
Caleb Winslow’s face was livid as he glared at them, forcing out the words, "Are you trying to stage a rebellion?"
The faces of the two men opposite him instantly darkened. They stared at Caleb Winslow with hostile expressions. "Mr. Winslow, isn’t ’rebellion’ a rather inappropriate word to use?"
Caleb Winslow’s heart clenched. He knew he had misspoken. Although the Martial God’s surname was Winslow, he had never declared himself a king, nor had he ever claimed that everyone on the planet was a servant of The Winslow Clan.
Kael Miles set down his cup, his expression hardening. "Mr. Winslow, my grand-disciple is the Martial God’s chosen successor and a member of The Holy Mountain. She would never do anything to harm The Holy Mountain. Is that not so, Mr. Winslow?"
The hand Caleb Winslow held behind his back clenched into a death grip. His pupils constricted as, with a dark scowl, he flicked his sleeves and stormed out.
Merck Gold raised his teacup and chuckled softly. "I’m afraid the members of The Winslow Clan are about to make a move against your grand-disciple."
Kael Miles gazed at the cup in his hands and said with unshakable composure, "If the Martial God’s successor can’t even handle them, she can forget about ever becoming that supreme existence."
Merck Gold took a sip of tea and set his cup down. "Don’t forget what you promised me."
"Don’t worry. You’ll get what’s yours."

A month later, The International Martial Alliance adopted the new Martial Force Tester developed by The Morgan Group. It also released instructional Martial Cultivation videos for the first five levels of the Body Refining Boxing Technique, directing the various national branches of the Martial World to promote it to everyone.
Kael Miles also made a point of crediting the donation of the technique to "Dawn Miles, Sect Leader of the Veridian Radiant Void Sect."
This infuriated Caleb Winslow even more, prompting him to return to The Holy Mountain at once to seek a ruling from the Advanced Supervisors.
Unexpectedly, Merck Gold had beaten him there, having already consulted with Advanced Supervisors Landon Easton and Alaric Winslow.
Both men supported the initiative, leaving Caleb Winslow grinding his teeth in fury.
"Lord Todd, Lord Evan, Aurora Sinclair has become a grave threat to The Winslow Clan’s dominion over the Martial World. We cannot let her continue."
They had been deeply displeased ever since the Martial God chose an outsider as his successor.
They never expected that before even becoming a Martial God, she would start making so many moves behind their backs.
If they actually waited for her to become the Martial God, they feared The Winslow Clan would suffer a fate even worse than that of the Harrow Clan.
Therefore, Aurora Sinclair had to die.
Toby Winslow and Forrest Winslow each pulled an ancient-looking token from within their robes and tossed them to him.
"Get it done."
Caleb Winslow’s eyes lit up. These tokens could be used to command the reclusive members of the Winslow Clan living on the Continent of Esteros.
Their strength was far greater than that of the Martial Cultivators in the Mundane World.
「On the summit of the Kaelan Mountains」
Master Aerion stared at the compass in his hand, his expression changing drastically. He looked up at a figure shrouded in ice and snow not far away and murmured with a sigh, "What is meant to be, will be."
The wind was rising, and the world was about to change...

Carrying the tokens, Caleb Winslow returned to the Continent of Esteros.
This was a unique landmass, less than a tenth the size of the Continent of Arcadia, and it shared a border with a portion of the Continent of Boreas.
On a world map, it looked like a small landmass that had broken away from the Continent of Arcadia after a tectonic shift.
Separated by sea, yet connected by the same geological pulse.
The concept of nations did not exist here. Its inhabitants came from all over the world, and all were reclusive Martial Cultivators.
Their way of life still followed the customs of ancient Martial Cultivators—traditional and undeveloped.
Thus, many called the Continent of Esteros the land that time forgot.
Because it was the primary place of exile for criminal High Rank Martial Cultivators in ancient times, both The International Martial Arts Bureau and the International Penitentiary Headquarters were also built here.
The Winslow Clan’s secluded home on the Continent of Esteros was extremely remote, almost completely cut off from the world.
When Caleb Winslow presented the tokens and explained the situation, not everyone in The Winslow Clan was willing to go to Arcadia to assassinate Aurora Sinclair.
This was especially true for the branches of the clan belonging to Jasper Winslow’s lineage.
Their way of thinking was much like Jasper Winslow’s; they believed that since she was the great Ancestor’s successor, they should not oppose her.
After all, the great Ancestor would never do anything to harm his descendants.
Instead of wasting time on fighting and killing, they should be focused on improving their strength to enter The Holy Mountain’s Secret Realm as soon as possible.
"Quinn Winslow, you’re really not going?" Caleb Winslow demanded, his face livid.
"We will not leave without a token from Ancestor Ignis."
"Fine. Very good..."
With a dark scowl, Caleb Winslow flicked his sleeves and left.
Quinn Winslow watched his retreating back and sighed softly. ’A dark aura clings to him; his fate is in flux,’ he thought. He then turned to the man attending him and asked, "Has there been any word from Ruby?"
The man shook his head and asked with concern, "Mr. Sterling, it’s been nearly half a year since The International Martial Alliance’s selection. You don’t think Ruby could have run into trouble, do you?"
Quinn Winslow’s brow gradually furrowed, and he walked briskly toward his room.
An ancient compass lay on a table inside the room. Quinn Winslow adjusted the compass, closed his eyes, and began to chant. After a moment, the needle slowly came to a stop.
Quinn Winslow opened his eyes to look and was immediately stunned. His expression filled with complexity as he said, "She’s in Veridia..."
