Chapter 210: A Traditional Challenge
Chapter 210: A Traditional Challenge
The Spear Squad, numbering 200, with Body stage cultivation who stood at the entrance to the mound recorded all the information obtained by their bodies active in the fight below.
In their hand was a large block of Vara, containing a collection of all the information they had extracted from their enemies.
Two hours later, they nodded towards each other, "It’s done."
"We’ve annihilated those within the biome’s entrance."
An hour later, they carried large platforms piled up with Garrinch corpses. One of them held a Vara Lantern containing the Primary Natures of all the young Garrinch they had slaughtered.
The Spear Squad had lost plenty of lives, with one of them having dropped all the way to the 5-Life Stage. However, there were no casualties. Hence, this was a great outcome.
"Even though we are stronger, our Prana consumption is significantly higher than the other party." They communicated with each other as they quickly made their way to their base.
Burtn City!
It was the city created by the Wean Clan in Citrakah Enclave, where both the Wean Clansmen and Free Humans from the Varahan Empire lived and made preparations.
Soon, the Spear Squad returned to the City and shared their discovery. In the next few hours, many Squads part of the vanguard returned, bringing with them information about the enemies.
The information sourced from all the squads was collated and published in the Information Tower. And walking out of it at the moment was FyorBuntara, upon which he joined with the Potential Squad and exited Burtn City.
"We’ll be heading to a location that has just been cleared out by a vanguard squad." He explained as they walked at a consistent pace towards the closest mound, situated a mere twenty kilometers from Burtn City.
"Good," FyorBuntara stared at the sky and noticed an aurora had been deployed overhead, "We’re good to go."
A thin stream of the aurora meandered through the sky and entered the mound, invading the biome inside. As the Potential Squad walked through the zigzagging tunnels, Torq raised his hand up in an effort to touch the aurora right overhead.
He couldn’t reach it, and hence, he jumped, falling short by a few centimetres. Right as he intended to jump once again, NelTara leapt higher, using his shoulder to push her face into the aurora, "WOW!"
"It’s a pleasant feeling." She expressed her awe, twirled around and irritated Torq, "Too bad you cannot experience it."
"VaraBuntara," Torq called out sternly, surprising the other party.
"What?" VaraBuntara walked closer in confusion.
"Push me into it." Torq demanded.
"Why should I?" VaraBuntara snorted.
"Forget it if your muscles are just for show," Torq shrugged. A couple seconds later, his face beamed upon being launched into the aurora, ’Wow!’
Immediately, he felt like he was being nourished in a warm pool that was extremely gentle to his being, caring for him, protecting him against external harm, and even reinforcing his strength.
Being immersed within the aurora made him subconsciously sense the protection of his brethren, at the fact that plenty of people had his back. It naturally boosted his morale.
"It’s indeed a pleasant feeling." He smirked upon eyeing NelTara, "You’re not the only one who has enjoyed it anymore."
"Don’t get cocky just because you felt it once," NelTara jumped once again, "Look, a second time! A third time! Fourth!"
"Can’t do that like me, can you?" She taunted Torq, even though technically, both she and Torq could casually touch the aurora using their Pranic Beast forms. Moreover, their Aurora Crown, the equipment on their heads was capable of drawing in the aurora and absorbing it to reinforce their strength. Just by using it they could touch the aurora.
Ignoring the details, NelTara taunted Torq, and he in return, retorted.
"Uh..." Vara eyed the arguing duo before him and stared at the aurora, which he could casually reach by lifting his arm. For a moment, he wanted to insult Torq’s intelligence, but then didn’t bother with proceeding ahead, ’He’s a retard.’
’And she...’ He eyed NelTara, ’She’s a bit of a retard too.’
Soon, the Potential Squad reached the biome and were faced with five Garrinch in total. The opposing party had just arrived at the forefront of the biome from deeper within. Immediately upon seeing another squad pull up at their homes, they tensed up.
However, upon seeing how the presence of the present enemies were a far cry compared to the vanguard squads they had faced before, the Garrinch calmed down.
The five of them weren’t mature yet, and hence only had a Primary Nature.
"So, who is going to take the lead?" Fyorbuntara asked, "There are five enemies. I will shield you if it seems like you’re about to be killed."
"Go on and prove your strength. Let’s see how long each of you can last." Fyorbuntara then cleared his throat and unleashed a string of illegible sounds, speaking in the language of the Garrinch.
The vanguard had already extracted the information necessary to reverse deduce the language of the Garrinch Race.
The Wean Clan raised Nests of countless Pranic Beast races, all of which had their respective means of communication. Iron Grade Pranic Beasts had an empirical mode of communication while Silver Grade Pranic Beast races had a comprehensive language.
By having a collection of languages, the Wean Clan were better adapted to deciphering the structure and logic behind a language and quickly learning its use. Those most experienced on this front were also part of the vanguard, which was how the Garrinch Race’s language had been deduced.
This information was recorded in the Information Tower, which FyorBuntara had purchased before setting out.
The moment he spoke their language, the five Garrinch were stunned. However, after a few lines of back and forth, the two sides seemed to have reached a consensus.
"They’ll try their best to kill you." FyorBunatra flashed a thumbs up at the Potential Squad, "It’s to their advantage that they can focus on one opponent at a time. So, they’ve accepted my terms."
"Who wants to go first?" The moment he asked, many hands shot up. His eyes fell upon the individual who was the quickest to respond, "VaraBuntara..."
"You’re up!"
